Interesting article in Forbes about personal medical-related bankruptcies in the US.
Himmelstein suggests Canada’s low rate of medical bankruptcy is the result of a better medical and social insurance system. Every other developed nation has solved the problem, he asserted. “Why should Americans have second-class health care?”
I honestly don’t know how US health care stacks up to Canadian, but I can tell you this for nothing: I’m really glad that I (and my parents) live in Canada.
